AS A PHOTOGRAPHER, MAMA, AND WIFE TO AN INCREDIBLE HUSBAND, LIFE KEEPS ME BUSY. SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME THAT THE DAYS GO BY SLOWLY, BUT THE YEARS GO BY QUICKLY, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY I WANT TO PRESERVE ALL THE IN-BETWEEN MOMENTS BEFORE THEY ARE LONG GONE AND FORGOTTEN. I AM GRATEFUL TO SHARE THIS JOURNEY WITH YOU.
I am a mother, a wife, a photographer, and a jack of all trades (when I have to be). I come from a very loving and large extended family that is extremely close. I love sports and being outside enjoying the beauty that God surrounds us with. I love to hear children laughing and playing, and that sound always brings a smile to my face. Of course having a salty snack and a good cold coke make my day even better.
I graduated from NC State..GO Wolfpack, with a degree in Landscape Design but I was not able pursue a job in my degree. So I became a bookkeeper for a business in my small town, but the job also gave me more time for my family. Once my children came along I purchased my first DSLR camera and started snapping pictures of them every time they turned around. But my passion did not grow til my daughter started playing sports, and I started to see my images come alive. I just had to capture those images of her sliding into home base, and that serious expression on her face right before she swings. I realized that every image I take has something special about it. I wanted to capture these images for a lifetime, for myself and for others.
I love to capture the emotion, the connection, and the true beauty of a family or couple. The look on the groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time, or love that a family has for each other. To capture the pride in a Seniors face, and all of their accomplishments. I hope my love for people, nature, and God will shine through in my photography business.
While I put my heart and soul into my work, I also strive to maintain a professional atmosphere for my clients as well as their families. Continuing my education as a photographer is something I value greatly, so I make it a point to attend workshops and conferences regularly within the photo community.
I would love to become your photographer as well as a friend to you and your family
God Bless - Shannon
